The former first lady of the United States of America
Barbara Bush has been hospitalized for a treatment of a ‘respiratory related
issue’. This announcement has come from the office of the former President
George H.W. Bush’s office via a statement released just a few hours ago.
Barbara Bush, 88, was taken to the Methodist
Hospital in Houston’s
‘Texas Medical Center’
and has been told in ‘great spirits’ in a statement issued. She was US’s first
lady from 1989 to 1993. She is known as the energetic and outspoken. She worked
tirelessly for the literacy during her tenure as first lady in the White House.
Following the defeat of her husband George H. W. Bush by
Bill Clinton in the year 1992 in the presidential elections, she moved with her
husband to Houston and then also spent some
quality time with a longtime family home in Kennebunkport
in Maine.
Later she supported her son George W Bush as his run for the
presidency which he won in the year 2000. She is known for making a funny
comment like, “The White House has enough Bushes”, when she was asked about her
younger son Jeb Bush’s chances to run for a presidency in last April in an
interview to NBC.
