The former Prime Minister of Israel, Arial Sharon who has
been in coma for eight years now was in critical condition since yesterday as
most of his organs have stopped working, as per doctors.
Dr. Zeev Rotstein who is a director of Tel Hashomer hospital
said that a number of vital organs of Sharon,
including kidneys have suffered a ‘critical malfunction.’
“He is in critical condition and his life is certainly in
danger and there is a turn for the worse for sure.” Said Rotstein to the reporters gathered outside
the hospital in Tel Aviv.
Sharon’s
family is at his bedside. Sharon
is one of the most iconic and controversial Israeli figures. He had faced a
disturbing stroke in January 2006 when he was PM and at the peak of his power.
Sharon was one of the most
popular and bold generals of Israel.
He was known to take bold tactical decisions and sometimes also refusing to act
on orders.
He was also known as ‘the bulldozer’ – a person who can disdainful
towards his critics but at the same time fit to get the things done as well.
He was always a hardliner when it comes to dealing with the
enemies of Israel.
He was elected as Israel’s
Prime Minister in the year 2001.
