Disney’s long thought musical comedy will have a writer at
last. It is learnt that Allan Loeb will start working on the movie very soon.
Bob is a normal guy who, after receiving a blow on his head
suddenly starts to hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart and it instantly
turns into a musical, much to his disappointment.
This is a long delayed project by the Disney and it is under
the process since 2004. Many writers, directors and composers came and went
away. Including Adam Shankman and the duo, Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
But the producers are still hopeful about the project since
this is a high-concept project which has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and
Kristen Anderson-Lopez who created Disney’s animation breakout Frozen.
On the other hand, Loeb is well known writer in his own
rights. He has written movies like ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and the
musical adaptation of ‘Rock of Ages and comedies like ‘Just Go With It’ and ‘Here
Comes the Boom.’
He was represented by CAA, Anonymous Content and attorney
Sean Marks.
