The news coming in from the northern Shanxi says that a number of self
manufactured bombs which were contained steel beads got exploded outside the
headquarters of the CPC (Communist Party of China). The state media has
reported that “a series of explosions have left at least one person killed and
eight others injured.”
These blasts happened around early morning at 7.40 am
infront of the headquarters of CPC for the Shanxi Provincial Committee. It is
the top CPC agency which is governing the province in Taiyuan which is the provincial capital. The
official news agency of China,
Xinhua News Agency has confirmed that “the bombs were suspected to be
‘self-made’. The detonations seemed to have took place with the aim of creating
maximum damage to the lives and properties. Steel ball-bearings were also found
spread around the site of the blasts which took place at a time when government
officers were about to start their
day.

The numbers of bomb blasts are yet to be known and almost
all the agencies related are saying it is a series of blasts. The initial
report informed that those bombs were buried under a flower bed just in front
of the CPC headquarters. The Chinese social media is already reacting to the
blasts by showing pictures of plumes of smoke, scattered debris and injured people
lying on the street just in front of the CPC office.
This event is more important as only last week there was an
attack on the Tiananmen Square which is the heart of Beijing when three people from the
Muslim-majority of Xinjiang region drove into a crowded place and burst
themselves into flames. This incident left two tourists killed and injured 40
others. This act was blamed on the ETIM (East Turkestan Islamic Moment) a
banned terror group which has organized such acts in Xinjiang in past also.
