All those who were put to the death were found guilty by the
state of misdemeanors for watching videos of South Korean television programs or
possessing the Holy Bible. As per sources quoted by the newspaper, eight people
were solidly tied to the stakes in the Shinpoong Stadium in Kangwon Province.
Before putting sacks placed over their heads the soldiers fired machineguns in
the air.
One source told the South Korean news paper, “I heard from
the residents that they watched the terror as the corps were so enigmatic by
the machinegun fire that they were really hard to identified after the
execution got over.”
After the execution got over the close friends and family
members of the victims were reportedly sent to a prison camps. This is a normal
tactic used by the North Korean authorities just to discourage every one from
breaking the law.
